SPORT - GET INTO THE SWINGS OF THINGS
Here, sports fans will discover an idyllic setting and first-class amenities. Besides the four golf courses which make Crans-Montana a world-famous destination for golfing aficionados, there are many other summer sports that will appeal even to the sportiest of visitors. It’s fun all the way up, whether it’s hiking or biking on the trails, wakeboarding on the lake or paragliding. Later in the year, at the first signs of snow, the winter sports take over with 140km of ski runs, snowshoeing and ski mountaineering, numerous cross-country ski runs, a large skating rink and one of the most beautiful snow parks in Switzerland. Crans-Montana is sheer paradise for sports lovers throughout the year.
A ski area of more than 140 km
Quality facilities and slopes for all levels
The Crans-Montana ski area has some 140km of pistes, and 24 modern ski lifts. From the Plaine Morte at 3,000m down to the resort at 1,500m, set off to explore a wide variety of pistes, also with different levels, and with views to take your breath away. In fact just opposite, you’ll find a crown of summits that are over 4,000m high. Enjoy this view on one of 15 sunny mountain terraces, where you can savour delicious traditional dishes. Freestyle fans will find one of the best snowparks in Switzerland, with an Olympic-size Halfpipe.
You’ll find children learning to ski at Arnouva, where a covered magic carpet, a ski kindergarten and a restaurant will make their first experience an unforgettable memory. At the end of the day, you have to stop at the Cry d'Er Club on the pistes, or call into one of the après-ski bars at the departure point of one of the 3 cable cars in the resort, where a great atmosphere is guaranteed.
Alaïa Chalet
A veritable shrine to action sports
Crans-Montana is already well-known for its parks (snowpark, bikepark and wakepark), but it is continually developing the choice for action sport fans. The latest development is Chalet Alaïa, a veritable shrine to action sports, which opened its doors at the beginning of 2019. High quality infrastructure such as trampolines, indoor ramps, foam pits and bowls mean different sports can be practised year round. Outside, there is a gigantic skatepark which measures around 2,400m2, consisting of a snakerun, and pumptrack, as well as a skate plaza and bowl.
Keen children and young people can take part in winter and summer camps, and put into practice the tricks they learn at the Chalet in the different parks in Crans-Montana. With over 5,000 m2 of indoor and outdoor infrastructure, French-speaking Switzerland now boasts the biggest and most complete action sports centre of its kind. Upstairs, there’s a bar which looks out over the activity halls so that family and friends can watch sports fans evolve in their chosen sport.

An oasis of sports
The Crans-Montana Climbing Wall is located in the Moubra tennis centre. It has a 500m2 wall and a 150m2 boulder area. Routes lead up to a height of 13.5 metres, from 4C to 8A, there are almost sixty different routes on the climbing wall and around forty routes in the boulder area.

The Crans-Montana Snowpark
A playground endorsed by the best freestylers
Alaïa Parks by Tudor welcomes the best Swiss and international riders in its 100,000 m2 snowpark which stretches over 2 sites, and also offers modules for beginners. Scalable infrastructure meets everyone’s needs: from beginners taking their first steps in the world of action sport, to professionals looking to progress by giving free rein to their creativity. The main snowpark is aimed at experienced and expert freestylers, and consists of rails and boxes, jumps, a mini-pipe and a super-pipe. It’s the only snowpark with an Olympic half-pipe in the Valais Alps. In spring, the Snowpark moves to the Plaine Morte, for incomparable freestyle moments at an altitude of 3,000 metres.

Cross-country skiing
Discover more than 16 km of trails
Cross-country skiing is an important activity in Crans-Montana. Nearly 16 kilometres are available to sports enthusiasts, as well as the track on the Plaine Morte, at 3'000 meters altitude. Discover the magnificent setting that golfers enjoy in Summer, by cross-country skiing. Quiet and close to nature, these itineraries offer you a beautiful view of the alps. A cross-country ski trail at 3000 meters altitude!
This splendid route will allow you to admire a magnificent landscape with a view on the most beautiful peaks of the Alps. Two itineraries of 3 and 5 km are at your disposal. The cross-country tracks are regulary made in order to guarantee the quality of the routes.
