CARPE DIEM - A PRECIOUS MOMENT

Crans-Montana is a place where you forget everyday stresses and enjoy the present moment fully. Wellbeing and shopping fans are invited to relax in one of the wonderful spas and to treat themselves in the Rue du Prado, the street to find top luxury brands. As for gourmets, they can delight in varied and international gastronomy. A casino, a bowling alley, a 3D cinema and lots of bars and clubs make Crans-Montana a place which is much appreciated by visitors looking for a dynamic and lively destination.

Gastronomy

Local products and World  gastronomy

In Crans-Montana, whether in the resort or on the pistes, when tastebuds quiver every gourmet will find what they’re looking for amongst the huge choice of restaurants which vary from mountain huts to Michelin-starred establishments.

Quality local produce, numerous foodie events, passionate craftspeople and chefs illustrate the wealth of gastronomy in our region. Moreover, it is a great joy for Crans-Montana to include amongst its numerous restaurants, two Michelin-starred establishments, Franck Reynaud‘s l’Ours, and LeMontBlanc from LeCrans Hôtel & Spa. Thanks to their incredible talents, Crans Montana Chefs, who has settled in Valais, sensitively interpret every flavour in our local produce. Although their creations retain a hint of the south, they should naturally be savoured with a fine Valais wine.

If exotic cuisine makes your mouth water, you’re in the right place. Crans-Montana is an ideal departure point for a gourmet world tour, where every meal can be a change of scenery, whether from Lebanon, Japan or Portugal. And if you’re missing raclette or other Valais specialities, there are plenty of mountain huts and restaurants which will be delighted to welcome you for a traditional mountain dish.

Blog: discover fascinating stories

Ski Food Safari - the culinary iceberg of Crans-Montana

Set off to meet local chefs and wine producers: at the end of the season, Ski Food Safari guests take part in a marathon of flavours in the ski area. From haute gastronomy to traditional raclette, the concept of this "ephemeral table" is to explore Crans-Montana’s vast culinary offer in just one day: "we don't just have snacks in the ski area, of course", explains Clémentine Lopez, who started the Ski Food Safari, and developed the concept alongside Michelin-starred chef Franck Reynaud.

Wine tourism

A region of first-class vineyards

Crans-Montana’s reputation is well established as a gastronomic destination with two star-rated chefs, high-quality local specialities and a wide range of exotic cuisine. However, it is important to remember that Crans-Montana is also a first-rate wine region and that wine tourism is becoming increasingly important.

The winegrowers also organise many events and experiences all over the year right in their vineyards to help you discover their world of epicurean pleasures. You can participate in the grape harvests, visit the Castle of Vaas or enjoy various wine tastings.
