The Chemin des contrées & Bisse du Ro bridge

Since last summer, Crans-Montana has two new attractions on its hiking trails.

On the one hand, a new route has been created on the lower hills. The Chemin des Contrées links Mollens to Icogne via Diogne. A 15 km walk on a route marked by forests, scree slops, waterfalls and which offers breathtaking views, in particular as it traverses two new areas since 2019, the ‘Boup’ and ‘Les Echerts’. The walk integrates the existing Grand Bisse, and offers several entrances and exits on the route, and lies at an altitude of around 1,000 metres. It can be explored in stages, which are described on 7 educational panels with QR codes. Discover a wild and until now inaccessible site, with the impressive Boup chasm, witness to scenes of withcraft in the 15th century…

On the other hand, the famous Bisse du Ro has a new suspension bridge. This spectacular walk, which links Crans-Montana to the Rawyl dam, offers real adrenaline rushes with vertiginous passages and fascinating viewpoints. Halfway between the Rawyl dam and the centre of Crans-Montana, the new 120m long and 70m high footbridge offers an innovative aerial perspective, and allows walkers to discover this legendary hike in complete safety.

Read some fascinating stories

Crans-Montana is full of fascinating places, characters and stories that shape the identity of the destination. In the new Crans-Montana blog, we’d like to inspire you and encourage people that bring the destination to life to share their experiences, their passions, or simply the story that ties them to Crans-Montana.

Crans-Montana Prepaid

The new loyalty programme

The Crans-Montana Prepaid card, the payment card launched in December 2020, continues to develop and now rewards loyalty for anyone spending money in the destination !

From 1st July 2021, the Crans-Montana Prepaid card is adding another string to its bow, and also becomes a loyalty card. By paying with the card when shopping with local partners, users can collect loyalty points. The minimum reward is 1 point per CHF spent. However each partner is free to increase this ratio and award more points than the minimum, either on a one-off basis or on a permanent basis. To date, the rate granted by partners ranges from 1 to 10 points per CHF spent, with an average of about 3 points. Once 5,000 points have been collected, guests can convert their points into credit, which is loaded onto their Crans-Montana Prepaid card. The value of a loyalty point is 1 centime. Therefore it is as if clients are receiving a 1% to 10% discount in the various businesses in the resort.

The Communes of Crans-Montana and Lens have once again decided to support the launch of the loyalty card by making 500,000 francs available: for each franc loaded onto the card, a 10% bonus is automatically awarded to the cardholder, until the overall amount is used up.

Enduro World Series

The Enduro World Cup

It is an honour for Crans-Montana to host the Enduro World Series for the first time in 2021! This international competition, which is the equivalence of the World Cup in the discipline, will take place from 9 to 12 September 2021.

An exciting programme awaits participants. Firstly, two pro-races will take place in the destination. The Specialized EWS-E which offers an innovative e-bike format on Thursday, and the classic Enduro World Series on Sunday. Secondly, there are also several races open to amateurs planned in both disciplines. Anyone can register for the EWS-E 100, 80 or 50 (which corresponds to approximately 100%, 80% or 50% of the pro stages) and launch themselves on the competition course.
