The landscape evolves as nature and the seasons follow their course, creating a unique ambiance and playing host to different colours and shades of light, as well as new sounds and bewitching scents. Nature will extend to you its finest welcome in Crans-Montana – whatever the time of year.
Grandeur Nature
Escape into Grandeur Nature

The Grandeur Nature area is a place for rejuvenation and escape. A chance to relish a deep breath of fresh air just a few minutes away from the resort, enjoying peace and quiet in the heart of untamed Nature alongside exceptional views.
Lovers of the great outdoors will not be disappointed. Aminona is the starting point for many hikes and mountain bike routes. You can also follow the famous Tsittoret bisse from here, leading to the immaculate Tièche valley with its impressive waterfall.
There are several restaurants in the area, including Colombire, where you can enjoy local specialities in an idyllic setting, or immerse yourself in old-fashioned Alpine life at the Colombire Ecomuseum.
Les bisses
These wonderful walks at the water's edge

Discover the region while following one of its five bisses, or irrigation streams, these truly historical monuments in the Valais landscape which date back to the 14th century. Back then, the construction of these irrigation streams allowed water to be transported from a spring located far away to cultivated land. Today, the bisses provide wonderful walks on gentle slopes which enable you to discover nature in all her glory, whilst also enjoying outstanding views.
In the Crans-Montana region, some of the best known are the Bisse du Ro, which takes you from Lake Tseuzier along towering rock faces, crossing a 120m high footbridge, or the Bisse du Tsittoret, which leads to the wild Tièche Valley, and offers the most beautiful panoramic views in the region. However there are many others that also deserve to be explored.
Storytelling
Mountain guide, much more than just a job

Hiking is the ideal summer activity in Crans-Montana. No matter what the reason for your trip, all guests find time to slop into their wlaking shoes and set off to discover the magnificent natural landscapes around the destination. We set off to meet Pascale Haegler, mountain guide for the Colombire Hamlet, so that she could tell us about her love of hiking and nature.

Our Lakes
Explore our lakes and the surrounding areas

Thanks to its high plateau, Crans-Montana offers many lakes and ponds that delight walkers, those who love water activities (pedalo, stand-up paddleboard, wakeboard) and sunbathers.
The five main stretches of water are located in the heart of the resort, which makes a ten kilometre-long themed walk possible, around Etang-Long, Etang Grenon, and Icogne, Chermignon and Moubra lakes. This "water" walk is easily accessible and designed for the whole family.
There is also a road bike route that makes the link between the 5 lakes in the centre of Crans-Montana.
Find out more about the different lakes, which are the central points of interest of the tour, below, as well as all the activities you can enjoy in the surrounding areas.
