CULTURE - Hidden treasures await
Crans-Montana is a destination with a story to tell, full of history and popular Valais traditions that travellers can disco - ver at the Grand-Lens museum, the Château de Vaas, and the Colombire Ecomuseum. All cultural tastes are admired, appreciated and shared here. Examples of our cultural diversity include: a museum of model trains for all the family; the Fondation Opale in Lens, which aims to create a permanent dialogue between aboriginal and contemporary art; the Vision Art Festival, which has helped to draw urban art away from large cities and into the heart of the Alps; and of course, the five galleries of Crans-Montana. Music, from popular to classical right through to electro, can also be heard at numerous concerts, events and festivals throughout the year.
Vision Art Festival
Taking urban art to new heights

Vision Art Festival brings art urban art to new heights! Vision Art Festival – the only festival of urban art in the mountains - a true open-air museum, with a star place on the main urban art festival scene, attracts artists from all over the world. The artwork is located at altitudes of between 1,500 and 3,000 metres, and can be seen at any time. Created in 2015, we are one of the 8 top towns for graffiti in Europe, with some of the highest murals in Europe!
Crans-Montana Classics
Symbiosis of Arts and Nature

Crans-Montana Classics, the enchantment of music and the intoxication of the mountains, a perfect symbiosis between Arts and Nature.
With unfailing creativity and commitment, and in accordance with the evolution of health measures, Crans-Montana Classics promises us notes of hope in August and September. Quality ensembles and soloists will offer eclectic concerts, including a major event on the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club Ballesteros course. Master Classes, which aim to promote the next generation to impress audiences on the great international stages in the future, will be open to the public.
Caprices Festival
Electro at the top

Elected the best international electro festival in the world, Caprices Festival opens its doors once again from 17th to 19th and from 24th to 26th September 2021. Be swept away by mesmerizing sounds from some of the best DJs on the planet, in a dream setting at an altitude of 2,200m. A magical experience for festival-goers, in the heart of the ski area!
Fondation Opale
Expression through art

From 13 June 2021, Fondation Opale presents BREATH OF LIFE. This exhibition, dedicated to the yadaki (didgeridoo), an emblematic instrument of Aboriginal Australia, and to contemporary creation from Arnhem Land, will immerse visitors into spaces of visual and sounic vibrations.
Through exhibitions and also workshops, meetings and publications, the Fondation Opale intends to establish a permanent dialogue between Aboriginal and contemporary art. The art centre in Lens owes its second life to the support and passion of Bérangère Primat. A Crans-Montana resident, this collector specialising in Aboriginal art wanted to give this art a European dimension.
Cirque au Sommet
Discover the circus arts

Discover the magical world of contemporary circus arts in the heart of the Alps, with Cirque au Sommet. It’s the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in this magical and committed artistic universe in the dream setting that is the Crans-Montana region. New artists and a new show await you from 3 to 15 August 2021, and the Cirque au Sommet Academy will once again be offering advanced and introductory courses in the circus arts.
